We are finally launching a book discussion group for teens

Teens Read

Tuesday, June 24, from 2:30 to 3:30 in the Dodson Room

Ages 12 to 18

Enjoy a good book followed by good conversation. Join us for a discussion of the book Aimee.

Zoe was there when Aimee died, but was her death murder or suicide or something in between? Follow Zoe as she slowly pieces together the role she played in her best friend’s death in this first novel by Mary Beth Miller. All teens welcome.

Brawl Tourney a smash!

30 players vied for the top four seats (and prizes) last Saturday at the SSB Brawl Tournament. After nearly four hours of game play, the prizes were awarded as follows:

1st place – Kaotic
2nd place – Brandyn
3rd place – Azog
4th place – Hans

Thanks to all who attended, both the players and the spectators. You guys rock.

Thanks also to: Reset Games, for the awesome prizes; Rudy’s Pizzeria for the discounted pizza; the Friends of the Bellingham Public Library for the wii and the beverages; Fatman for bringing his unlocked wii and Brawl; Murufury for helping set up; and anyone I’ve forgotten.

I hope to host quarterly tournaments (either Brawl or DDR) from now on. I’ll post more info as I get it.

And remember we have open Brawl gaming at Teen Game Night on the 3rd Monday of each month.

Sign up begins at 12:45 – Tournament begins at 1:30 – no sign-ups after tournament begins

We will have elimination rounds (as needed) to determine top 16 players for the tournament
